It is sponsored and endorsed by the Department of Justice Recreation Association (1995), Nurses Organization of the Veterans Affairs (1996), the Treasury Department Recreation Association (2003), and the National Conferenceof Bankruptcy Clerks (2007). It is also endorsed by the Federal Court Clerks Association (FCCA) and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA). FEDERAL FIRST's LTD Program was originally designed by a group of federal personnel specialists and is managed and administered by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co and is underwritten by Aetna Life Insurance Company effective April 1, 2007. The stability of these two strong companies ensures that you and your family's needs can be met. FEDERAL FIRST’s LTD Program is different than your FERS Disability Retirement. You’ll be eligible for benefits faster with FEDERAL FIRST LTD. With FERS Disability Retirement, you may have to wait up to a year or longer before benefits kick in. Not with FEDERAL FIRST.
